Quartering Act Questions
How would you feel if 8 soldiers from the United States Army appeared at your door and informed you that you MUST house and feed all eight of them for an undetermined amount of time (they don't know when they would leave). You would lose your room. You would have to sleep somewhere else in your house that would not be a regular bedroom, like your garage.

I would feel like this could be a good experience for life.
ReplyDeleteI would get a bowling pin from my birthday party a few years ago and clean his clock. Or I would go upstairs and take as much warm things as I could into that garage. I would be ticked but not furious because it is not a good idea to anger a man with a gun. But I need my room.
ReplyDeleteI would be so mad I would like to move and fight them but I was scared if I said no they could kill us
ReplyDeleteI would feel not safe and weird because you have people that you don't know.
ReplyDeleteI would be pretty mad and I would not allow it. I don't care if they'd hurt me. Like dont try and come in my house and take my house.
ReplyDeleteI would be like " get out of my house." can you please leave. Thank u!!
ReplyDeleteI would not be happy at all because they wold have to take almost all the rooms. I would hate to have to spend all are money on there food. i cold not stand if i had to live in the garage.

I would let solders sleep there because without them the french and spain could come and kill the us
ReplyDeleteI would feel very mad and upset. My parents would be upset as well. But all my awards and things like that are in my study room. So I'm not worried.
ReplyDeleteThat was Shin Be
DeleteI would be mad and rebel, because thats not even fair. Id probably tell the government. I quote Miley Cyrus, "THIS IS MY HOUSE. THESE ARE MY RULES." -We Can't Stop
ReplyDeleteI would be mad but I would cook and I would sleep with my mom
ReplyDeleteI would not be happy because thats my house and my bedroom. I would be like THIS IS MY HOUSE GET OUT. They can find another house to live and stay at.

ReplyDeleteI would hate it! But, my parents would want to serve out country so they wouldn't mind. If I had to leave my room my life would be over! I am very protective of my belongings and awards. And Mr. J said because my garage is heated that I would have to sleep outside! I love my backyard but I wouldn't want to sleep in it - it might get cold and wet.

I would be like if I go homeless you would be paying me!
ReplyDeleteI would be angry that the US army was putting our family through this
ReplyDeleteI would Harras them. Because the don't have the right to come in my house and demand thing like food and water. Plus my room is my room! Not yours, not yo little nerdy soldiers!
ReplyDeleteI would feel very angry. I would ask them why and see if there was anhting I could do. I might even move.I would hate them FOREVER.
ReplyDeleteI am a patriot and I would say, "GET OUTTA MY HOUSE!" "GET GET!"
ReplyDeleteI would ragequit. I would rip my house up. I would give them just enough food to live and I would watch them die in battle since they have empty stomaches.
ReplyDeleteI would be angry because they took over my room. I would go around the house at 3 in the morning to anger them and to make sure they don't get a good sleep. I would also give them the worst food i have and let my dog in the house.

DeleteI would be glad to help. It would also be hard because of 8 soldiers in my room. I think you get the point. I might feel pressured that 8 people were counting on me to give them my room for a long perioud of time.

I would feel violated of my rights and I wouldn't feel safe. What if it was a trick.
ReplyDeleteIf soldiers came into my house and took it over I would feel like that was unfair. I would probably do something to make there stay miserable so they would want to leave. I think the quartering act law is a horrible law and should not be enforced upon innocent citizens.

I would be okay as long as those people are fighting for something that my family and I want. I say that because I would feel good that those people are risking their lives, just to get something that most people will like. Also, I would like them to stay in a nice, cozy place where they have food and water.
ReplyDeleteI would say "No". It's not fair how they get to sleep in my crib. It's not like they pay for my house. They would sleep in my room? Heck no. I would never ever let strangers sleep in my room. I would definitely not sleep in the garage because I would probably freak out. I would give them a meal and let them stay at my house for 5-10 hours. Maybe let them sleep on the couch.

I would feel really mad that they would come into my house. I would have to do my homework, and they might be watching something on TV or something. I would have to do my homework in the garage. I would have to get out my camping stuff for Boy Scouts and sleep in the kitchen probably.

ReplyDeletei would feal very nerves and scard.
ReplyDeleteI would feel angry and would have hated it. I would have complained to them until they did something. Also I would rather rott in jail than that was happening.
ReplyDeleteIf 8 solders came into my house I would feel invaded and angry.I would make their stay the worst stay they would ever have so they would want to leave. They do not have the power to intrude into people's houses, especially Mine!!! I would never allow them to eat and they would sleep in the street with the bugs.

I would try my best to help them but if they try and take over my house I would make them stay in my garage and live there.
ReplyDeleteI would feel augury and I would not like to give up my gurge
ReplyDeleteI would feel like that would be cool.. but this would cost my family lots of money. this wouldn't be good. Would feel angry.
ReplyDeleteI would be so angry. Soldiers can't just come to your door and then tell you that you have to provide them with things. Even though I'm grateful they fight for USA, but they can't just say that the government says that I have to provide them with these things. I would at most let them sleep in my attic and give them a certain amount of food for them to ration.

I would feel like really awkward because I would not know them and I would not feel the same with them around. I think we would have a lot to do everyday and have not a lot of time. I would have to sleep in the kitchen and give up my bed room and all my daily activitys like going to my friends house.
