I think that is HILARIOUS I always thought the same thing about people who die. It is like that you lose your own personality and start a BRAND NEW life. What a coincidence!!!

ReplyDeleteI think Auggie realizes that he might live a life where he might not have a deformed face. Because acording to Summer's belief he might not have the deformities. Because we don't know what exactly happens in the after life, so any theory could be true. We don't know what happens in the after life, because no one can die and then come back to tell about the after life. Because no one remembers the after life and you can come back after you die. Because people don't say the same things about the afterlife.

Because in the book, people make fun of him because of his face. In the book, it says: "I was looking for a little tiny spot to disappear into. I wanted a hole I could fall inside of: a little black hole that would eat me up." That was what he was thinking when his friends weren't actually his friends, partly because of his face
This might change the his life because he could tell other people what Summer and him discussed, like his mom. He might tell them because he might feel like it or be in an argument that he wants to win. Because usually when people are mad, they tend to blurt stuff out. Because they want to win the argument. Because August can be stubborn.

Because, through Summers point of view on God when people die they come back as new born babys. Because the souls of the people want to be able to redo all the bad things that happened in there first life. Because, when people are alive in the "first life" there is always a handful of things that they do that they wish they hadnt done. Getting a "redo life" is a way to show ther God or whoever the worship that they can be good. Because, going back to Auggie, he basically wants to have a redo life so that he can be as he says it, better looking, and cooler.

4 & 5) Auggie finally figures out that someday he might be what he calls beautiful. After what his friend Summer told him, he believes that, too. This might change things because if he believes that he might be "handsome" then it might make him a little bit more positive throughout the story, everything counts.

Auggie believes that he might be beautiful because anything is possible and Summer was able to change his mind on heaven. America is a free world, Auggie can believe what he wants to. This might change this because being Auggie probably really wants to be "good-looking" because of the state his face is currently in.

I think that maybe Auggie just doesn't think about his face like I thought he did in Via's tough question. He's willing to make a joke about it without having the joke bother him. Auggie realizes that summer may be right about the after world. He never thought about what summer sad before. This probably will change his life because he will keep his hope’s up, and will look forward to his 2 life. I know this would change my life if someone said you won’t look like that forever. What I’m wondering is why would summer bring that up in the first place. I know Auggie felt better and everything but why?

DeleteAuggie has a hole new perspective about himself and his new life. Because he thinks thinks that he will make the most of his life now and not worry about himself later. In his second life he will see that people won't get distracted by his face and they will be focusing on the actual person.
Auggie had anther prospective on his life and had some hope. "Their souls get a chance to have a do-over." I think this because his face will look better. He thinks he will have a new life and look different.

DeleteI think he has an a-ha moment from rethinking his life. Because he wants his face to look normal. Because he gets made fun of because of his face. Because he has disorder face that people think is ugly. People think its ugly because His face looks like a zombie.
Auggie says that when his soul passes on he will look like a big handsome man and he will be buff also he says, "when my soul passes and I come back down I might not have my face difference; in fact I might even be good looking". If Auggie has self confidence and the believe that he looks normal right now then Auggie will always feel good about himself even though other people don't feel the same way about him. If his soul does pass he will probably be what he has always wanted to be before but I still do think Auggie needs a ton and ton and ton himself more self confidence about himself to keep encouraging his own self in order to feel happy and maybe even have a even have more success in what he has always wanted to accomplish just like the dreams he has accept for having a normal face to walk around with and for people to see when he walks by. Although other people might not see him as normal I think Auggie just has to allow that by now and just move on to more important things in his life that matter a lot more. Auggie needs to take the good in his life also maybe if the whole idea about his soul passing but then coming back will be a matter of Auggie having to live a life worry free about his face that everyone makes fun of. Auggie doesn't always man up but for the most part this is what he has to do in order to live a happy and fun filled life. Not just for Auggies sake does he need to cheer up but for everyone else's sake because they kind of feel sad and upset when he is down on himself because of other people or other problems that he must counter in his entire lifetime that he will ever live even if he gets another chance like the way summer thinks about her grandma.

I think that because on page 128-129 Auggie and Summer were at Summer's house working in their Egyptian projects, and August agreed that he would come back in his next life looking good and handsome. —Da Bomb

"Hey, I might even be handsome!" The reason that August joked around about his face is that he feels relieved about how he will go down.

Why would auggie want to be liked this? Because he wants to be normal and blend in with the rest of the world. Why doesn't he like how he is? Because everyone makes fun of him and talk about him. How might this change his life? This changes his life because he could be popular and be the same as everyone else.

He realizes that he should just enjoy life and not worry about his face because he should be looking forward to a second life. because when he is talking he says "That would be so awesome" and usually when someone says something would be awesome they are looking forward to it. Auggie believes that he will have second life and he "might even be handsome! That would be so awesome, wouldn't it? I could come back and be this good looking dude and be super buff and super tall" he will start to look forward to a new life and think of positive before negative. Positive would be a new life. Negative would be his face.

ReplyDeleteI think auggie sees himself as an ugly monster. People tease him and make fun of him. He wants people to see him as a normal person. He doesn't like people staring at him because it makes him feel different.
"Hey I might even be handsome " Auggie thanks about something he hasn't thought about before. He realizes this won't last for eternity. He thinks of what his soul will look like in the afterlife. He thinks he can have a second chance to look better. He thinks he might even feel proud of what he looks like then. It makes me feel bad for him because he doesn't feel good about himself now even if he says he does.
